Payton M. Yahn
Payton Yahn is a Minnesota family law attorney dedicated to helping children and families navigate the legal process with clarity, confidence, and compassion. Her practice focuses on divorce, child custody and parenting time, child support, and related family law matters. Payton is known for developing practical, client-centered solutions while providing steady guidance through emotionally complex cases.
Payton earned her Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2022. Following graduation, she served as a judicial law clerk for Hennepin County Court, where she worked extensively on family law cases, including divorce, legal separation, custody, child support, and Orders for Protection. She then practiced family law in private practice before transitioning to legal aid, representing clients in family law matters as well as guardianship, disability, and public benefits cases.
After gaining broad experience across the family law system, Payton chose to return to private practice and joined Robinson│Duffy, PLLC to continue her work advocating for children and families. Her background as a judicial law clerk, private practitioner, and legal aid attorney gives her a well-rounded perspective and a strong understanding of how family law cases are handled both inside and outside the courtroom.
Payton is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2025.
